Overkill’s The Walking Dead has been talked about for quite a while, and four cinematic trailers released over the past few months have drummed up the hype for the co-op shooter.
But up until now, no one has seen any gameplay of the title from the developers of PayDay 2. With the ever-popular Walking Dead TV show, the anticipation was high to see just what the game looked like in a playable form.
Finally, the developer came through at the PC Gaming Show at E3 today with a world premiere look at gameplay. The game was originally slated for release in 2016, and after a number of delays, development is finally looking strong.
As for the gameplay itself, it featured first-person combat and co-op play between the game’s four playable characters. The visuals looked pretty close to what the cinematic trailers represented beforehand, and it looks like the game plays similarly to what you’d expect from a game like PayDay.
Not only was today momentous for the first look at gameplay, but now we finally have a brand new release date as well. Overkill’s The Walking Dead is now due to release on Nov. 6 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
