Nintendo debuted a new trailer for Pokémon: Let’s Go during its Nintendo Direct: E3 2018 stream.
During Nintendo’s E3 2018 Nintendo Direct, a new gameplay trailer for Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! was revealed, showing off some upcoming features for when the game launches for the Nintendo Switch in November.
Pokémon: Let’s Go’s Pokeball attachment will feature a mew with every purchase to use in the game. The new gameplay reveal also showed off a slew of new gameplay footage that had never been seen before.
Late last month, Pokémon: Let’s Go was announced for Nintendo Switch as an approachable Pokémon experience similar to the hit iOS and Android mobile game Pokémon Go. The game returns to the Kanto region and serves as a remake for the Game Boy Pokémon title Pokémon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition, which was originally released in 1998.
Like in Pokémon Go, players capture wild Pokémon by throwing Poké Balls during battle. Players accomplish this by using the Joy-Con’s motion controls, almost as if they were really throwing a Poké Ball. Pokémon: Let’s Go also supports the Poké Ball Plus controller to capture Pokémon, and the game will feature online trading, battling, and other multiplayer elements. A Nintendo Switch Online subscription is required for multiplayer gameplay.
Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and its counterpart, Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! are set for Nov. 16, 2018 on Nintendo Switch. Meanwhile, a “core” Pokémon experience is expected for Nintendo Switch during 2019.
