ShopTo is offering exclusive DLC, Steelbooks, and figures with purchases of Pokémon Sword and Shield in the UK

And so it begins.

UK retailers ShopTo has just announced exclusive DLC and items for those who pre-order Pokémon Sword and Shield from their website, setting a potential precedent for the game ahead of its November release.

Anyone who buys any version of the game through their website will receive an exclusive DLC tracksuit outfit for both characters, Steelbooks for the version of the game they buy, as well as a figure, presumably of the game’s legendaries, when the games arrive.

It marks what is sure to be several retail exclusive DLC or rewards for those who purchase the game from a particular store as well as a collector’s nightmare for anyone who wants to own it all.

Currently, ShopTo is the only Western retailer to confirm pre-order bonuses for the game, but we imagine other stores like GAME, GameSpot, BestBuy, and U.S. stores to start advertising their exclusive content quite soon.

Japan has also gotten in on the action with 7-Net offering the same items as ShopTo while Amazon is giving consumers an exclusive backpack DLC pre-order for any pre-orders of the game.
