Rockstar Games has confirmed Red Dead Redemption 2 is getting a day one patch upon its October 26, 2018 launch date.
The news comes from the official website, which hasn’t shared the details about its content except from the usual polishing you’d expect from day one patches.

“As is common for a game of this size and scope, there will be a downloadable title update addressing a number of last minute tweaks, bugs and fixes,” says Rockstar Games.
“To ensure the best possible gameplay experience, we strongly recommend making sure you’ve downloaded this update before launching the game.”
Interestingly, as it has happened with Fallout 76 beta, the developer has acknowledged that the game will come with few bugs and glitches.
“As with any game launching of this size, we expect that there will be unforeseen bugs and issues to report and we encourage you to please let us know about anything along those lines that you encounter in Red Dead Redemption 2.”
Considering it’s going to be a very, very big open world title, we believe that’s going to be something we can tolerate…
In the meantime, have you given the companion app an eye? Looks insane.
