Rockstar Games has confirmed that the much anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2 is receiving a day one patch on Xbox One and PS4.
In our original news, we gave you this information without adding the size of the download, which wasn’t official back in the day.

Today, anyway, we have a chance to look at how many gigabytes we’ll be required to download as soon as we’ll turn the game on the first time.
So, as VG247.com reports, it’s 3.30 GB on PS4 worldwide (3.02 GB for Japan) and 3.2 GB for Xbox One worldwide (2.9 GB for Japan).
Interestingly, today the embargo on streaming lifts off together with the NDA on the reviews, which is 12am UK time/1pm CET/8am ET.
So, there’s a chance you might be willing to get an early look to the game before it launches tomorrow, October 26.
In case, here’s a stream for you to follow:
For digital purchases, unlock times are as follows:
- Australia/New Zealand: 12:01 am October 26
- Eastern Time: 7:01 am October 25
- Pacific Time: 4:01 am October 25
- UK Time: 12:01 pm October 25
Have a nice day one!
