Rockstar Games has just released the first gameplay trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2, and it’s an extensive look at camp systems, characters, and some of the new features and mechanics.

Rockstar Games has been teasing fans with small tastes of the highly anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2 for quite some time. Despite arriving later this year, the game was a no-show E3 2018. There have been several story trailers detailing the world and its scoundrels, but there’s been little shared about the kind of gameplay, or how we should expect to expand with modern hardware.

While the previous Red Dead Redemption followed a man seeking, well, redemption, the next chapter has no such reservations about getting its hands dirty. In the new game, you will be in the thick of a gang menacing the people of the frontier. With a posse comes a camp. One of the big new features of the game will be camp management, organizing a community of ruffians, hunting for food, keeping spirits high and these rabble-rousers under control.

Rockstar also explained some of the new features horses will have, and how your saddle will contribute to resources and storage. We’ve also gotten our first look at the beloved “dead eye” ability, which lets time slow down for some sharp shootin’.

Currently, Rockstar Games is targeting an Oct. 26 release date for Red Dead Redemption 2, and it’s headed to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at launch, with a few different versions to choose from.
