Summer Games Done Quick is back with more than 100 games and speedrunners set to entertain fans from around the world over the next seven days all in the name of charity.

Games Done Quick (GDQ) is a speedrunning event that only happens twice a year, hitting peaks of around 100,000 concurrent viewers—who, in turn, donate millions of dollars to charity. The runners come from all corners of the globe, and it’s easily the world’s biggest speedrunning event.

The marathon will kick off with Banjo Tooie at 10am CT on June 24 and end at 4:45am CT with Final Fantasy VI. This year’s event is being held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Bloomington, Minnesota.

For anyone unable to make it to the event, the week-long festivities will be streamed on Games Done Quick’s official Twitch page. If you miss out on a speedrun you were really looking forward to, the VODs will eventually be uploaded to YouTube.

Donations can be made during the event directly through the viewing page available at GamesDoneQuick.com. One hundred percent of all SGDQ 2018 donations support Doctors Without Borders. To date, Games Done Quick events have raised more than $14 million for charities including Doctors Without Borders, Prevent Cancer Foundation, Organization for Autism Research, and CARE.

This event means that it’s time for the community to rally together to watch some great speedruns, and donate generously to the cause—because in the end, it’s all about charity.
