Ubisoft has announced one more delay for Skull & Bones, its pirate game in development at the Singapore studio.
Ubisoft has announced one more delay for Skull & Bones; it’s a pirate game in development at the Singapore studio.
The title had already been delayed last year and has not been seen anywhere recently, a sign of trouble which adds to the departure of the original creative director.
On top of that, the publisher has also revealed that the game won’t show up at E3 2019 at all, despite it will still host its usual media briefing for fans and press.
“Skull and Bones will no longer ship in FY19-20. It is an ambitious project combining naval battle, PVP, co-op and RPG,” said Ubisoft in a press release.
The new launch window has not been shared yet, and this means that it won’t drop before the end of March 2020 at the earliest.
“The teams at Ubisoft Singapore are committed to pushing the envelope during development to deliver the best experience possible, and this additional time will allow them to do so.”
In a message from the game’s official Twitter account, we can also read that “we’re going to batten down the hatches and push back on the game’s arrival—this is a challenging news for us all, but it’s what’s needed to make Skull & Bones as awesome as it can be!”
“Our focus remains on quality first,” says the studio, which clearly remarks how the additional time will be used in order to make the title better.
Hopefull,y we’ll learn more about a new release date next year.
