If you passed on picking up Splatoon 2 when it launched last year, you might want to start thinking about adding it to your collection this March. Nintendo announced the upcoming Splatoon 2 Starter Edition for anyone still looking to jump headfirst into the Switch’s colorful multiplayer shooter.
The special bundle is meant to put everything you need to dominate the competition in one place for the same price as the game on its own.Â
For $59.99, you’ll get a physical version of the Nintendo Switch game, a 100-page miniature Splatoon 2 strategy guide, and two sheets of Splatoon stickers to decorate your stuff with. It’s scheduled to hit store shelves Mar. 16, which is just about a month away.
You may want to squirrel away some savings and have some pocket change ready for spending when it comes out. Splatoon 2 is still hustling and bustling nearly a year later after it debuts, with new content on the way and new amiibo of two of the game’s best characters.Â
In case you missed it, Pearl and Marina will be releasing as a two-pack of amiibo figures, but they’ll be out later this year. That should give you plenty of time to play Splatoon 2 and get to know them before the special two-pack releases.Â
Here’s an important hint: Marina is the best, and you’ll need to accept that as a new Splatoon player.
