The latest expansion for Star Trek: Bridge Crew allows players to enter the iconic U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D on the PC and PlayStation VR.
Star Trek: Bridge Crew holds a special place in any Trekkie who’s got access to a virtual reality headset either on PC or PlayStation VR. Ubisoft today released the latest expansion set in the Next Generations era of Star Trek. The DLC is available on PC for all headsets, as well as on PlayStation VR for $19.99.

It wouldn’t be a TNG expansion without the inclusion of the iconic U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D and players will be able to take on the role of arguably the best Star Trek captain in history, Jean-Luc Picard; or at least step into his virtual shoes as you get behind the helm.
The DLC adds two new modes to Ongoing Voyages, Patrol and Resistance. In Patrol mode, players can roam the universe freely and will encounter battles at random. It’s about as open-world as a virtual reality Star Trek title gets. Resistance is Star Trek: Bridge Crew‘s version of a horde wave mode as players will have to survive increasingly challenging engagements, culminating in an epic battle against a Borg cube.
The expansion also introduces a new playable role aboard the Enterprise in the form of the Operations officer.
The Operations officer is tasked with assigning NPC crew members to certain stations throughout the ship to modify the ships’ capabilities, activating features like Shield Modulation, Precision Targeting and the ability to detect cloaked ships.
The Next Generation DLC for Star Trek: Bridge Crew is now available for PC and PlayStation VR for $19.99.
