The HDR Patch for The Witcher 3 PS4 and PS4 Pro version added many more graphical and performance issues: drop in draw distance quality, FPS drop and many others. CDPR has assured The Witcher fans that a new patch is in development to fix all these issues.
The latest patch for the PlayStation 4 version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has come with a lot of issues, on top of introducing the much anticipated HDR functionality for both the core version users and the PS4 Pro.
Among the main issues, we can find a draw distance’s quality drop and frame rate dips, which had not been encountered with the previous version of the role-playing game on PS4.
Luckily enough, CD Projekt RED is apparently aware of the issues which came with the latest patch and provided a quick update – answering fans wondering there would be a new fix – about what is coming next to the game.
In particular, community manager Marcin Momot said that “yes, we have another fix in the works”, not providing any other details about it but making it clear that the Polish studio is doing what is possible to prevent those issues popping up again.
Considering that Xbox One X‘s patch didn’t introduce any of these issues, it’s possible that this is just a simple bug and that the HDR implementation wasn’t meant to be working like this.
We’ll update as soon as, err, an update is available about the situation on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for PS4.
Yes. We have another fix in the works.
