If a teaser website’s HTML code is to be believed, then a new Lara Croft sequel called Shadow of the Tomb Raider is going to be revealed tomorrow morning.
The official Tomb Raider website is teasing the announcement for tomorrow, March 15, at 8am CT. But inspecting the HTML of the website allows you to see the announcement early, according to Kotaku.
“Shadow of The Tomb Raider is the climatic finale of Lara’s origin story. Available Sept. 14, 2018,” is what the HTML says. Kotaku’s sources have also confirmed that this is indeed the next entry in the series.
Tomb Raider was a reboot of the classic Lara Croft series from 2013, and it was met with critical acclaim. The sequel, Rise of the Tomb Raider, released in 2015. The games performed so well that they have inspired the new Tomb Raider film starring Oscar-winner Alicia Vikander, and it’s set to release this Friday.
This announcement would make sense, as it appears companies are going all in on the Lara Croft craze in 2018. Recently, Mattel announced a Lara Croft Barbie doll, and remasters of the classic Tomb Raider series are coming soon to Steam.
Stay tuned to the Tomb Raider website for an official announcement and possibly even a trailer early tomorrow morning. This could be a big week for Lara Croft and her fans.
