It’s time to get dirty in the southern swamps in Gator Rush, the first free major update of Ubisoft’s The Crew 2 coming on September 26th.
The Crew 2 has been out for a little while now, and it’s time for its first major free update. Ubisoft has announced that Gator Rush will be released on September 26 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. This update will expand the racing aspect of The Crew 2, one of its most redeeming qualities, by adding hovercraft races in the southern swamps.

The additional content provided by Gator Rush is only the first of several planned free updates that Ubisoft is bringing to The Crew 2. In it, players will be able to brave the swamps of the southern United States and embark on a new form of racing: hovercrafts.
With three hovercraft vehicles completely new to the line-up, racers can slide on all kinds of terrain, bump their opponents on a tight corner and land on their competitors after jumping a ramp. In addition to the Bayou, other iconic places across the US map have been redesigned with enhancements such as steep slopes and banked curves. Players can enjoy these enhancements in all-new events, a Live Xtrem Series race and free drive, with new skills available in the open world bringing new locations to explore.
For players that have run out of challenges in The Crew 2, the update will also include Ace mode, a new difficulty level. Those successful in Ace mode will stand to earn Legendary loot, parts that award better performances, exclusive affix bonuses, and more.
The Gator Rush update for The Crew 2 will be available for free on all supported platforms on September 26. Season Pass owners will get a seven-day headstart.
