Undertale, winner of countless Game of the Year and Game of the Month awards in 2015, is coming to the Nintendo Switch, according to Nintendo’s announcement today.
The indie game, created by Toby Fox nearly three years ago, quickly amassed a fan following larger than almost any other PC game on the market. It even won GameFAQ’s community poll for Best Game Ever, an award voted on entirely by fans. Needless to say, there are a lot of players hyped up for this new release.
Unfortunately, we don’t know when it’s coming.
The announcement teaser touted a release date of “eventually” in today’s Nintendo Direct stream, meaning it could be a while before we’re actually able to play it on Nintendo’s flagship console.
Undertale isn’t the only award-winning indie game to make its way over to Nintendo, either. Stardew Valley, one of the most beloved PC indie games of 2016, arrived on the console’s e-shop last year. And this year, Darkest Dungeon was added to the lineup, too.
The Switch is becoming a gold mine of fantastic indie games, and Undertale’s arrival just sweetens the pot.
