Warframe has gone from strength to strength over the years, and this week it will once again bring something new to the table. The Fortuna expansion will bring a whole new open world area to the game, one that is four to five times bigger than the Plains of Eidolon.

Fortuna will bring us to Venus, to Orb Vallis. It will introduce new enemies, wildlife, weapons, a whole new faction, and more. There will be more mining and fishing, and this time out we will be able to capture animals. The new faction will introduce us to Kitguns, a method of building secondary weapons just like the Zaws from the Plains of Eidolon.

A new Warframe shall be introduced in the form of Garuda, a vicious vampiric fighter who converts blood into damage. There will also be a whole host of challenges, events, and activities for players to take part in.

Tenno will follow the Solaris United faction’s struggle against their Corpus overlords by picking up bounties and missions underground in the internment camp of Fortuna, and, using the new K-Drive hoverboard, will get wicked across exotic new terrain peppered with Orokin structures, towering mushroom stands, and oceanic flora.

As always, the expansion will be free to download from Steam, with all the new content being available to dive right in to. Hopefully, there is a slightly smoother curve for new players than the one established when Plains of Eidolon was released. It is also worth noting that there will more than likely be all kinds of events, secrets, and systems to explore within the game. We will be playing the hell out of it, and will bring you as many guides as we can write about all the new content!

See you on Venus, Tenno!
