It won’t be long before we’re fighting for survival again.
During Microsoft’s X019 showcase today, Deep Silver and inXile Entertainment revealed a new trailer for Wasteland 3, and also confirmed its release date. Players will be able to make their way through post-nuclear Colorado because it’s coming to the Xbox One and PC on May 19, 2020.
Considering inXile has Interplay founder and Wasteland co-creator Brian Fargo as their leader, the latest chapter of the series is in good hands. Players will continue to follow the Desert Rangers as they attempt to rebuild a civilization in a ravaged world. That’s not such an easy task, considering enemies are out to stop at nothing to steal their resources.
The game “trades the dry, dusty heat of the American Southwest for the perpetually frozen landscape of Colorado,” according to the official press release. What’s more, along with the challenging new climate, the game will have several new locations to tackle, along with a streamlined combat system, a customizable vehicle, and much more.
The game will feature two-player co-op for the first time in the series, so you and a friend can fight for survival together. Just make sure you’re on the same page.
The latest trailer for Wasteland 3 is available below. It sets the tone for what’s coming to the series, and promises to be the most elaborate entry yet. We’ll learn more when we get our hands on it come May 2020.
