Microsoft reveals which Xbox games will be free to Gold members for the month of September.

Starting on Sept. 1, Gold members can get the complete first season of the 2016 version of Hitman for free on their Xbox One. Hitman: The Complete First Season from 2016 is a reboot of the Hitman series. Hitman has players take control of the infamous Agent 47. As 47, you are assigned to assassinate high profile targets, and players can dispose of these targets in creative and inventive ways. The game stops being free on Sept. 30.

Starting on Sept. 16, Gold members can obtain We Were Here for free. We Were Here is an exploration game, where you get stranded in a castle, in the middle of a snowstorm. You need to find your partner and discover a way out of the castle. The game remains free to Gold members until Oct. 15.

On September 1, Gold members will be able to download Earth Defense Force 2025 on their Xbox One and Xbox 360. Earth Defense Force 2025 is a third-person shooter game all about you defending the Earth from an alien invasion in the year 2025. Earth Defense Force 2025 will remain free to Gold members until September 15.

The Xbox 360 version of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is free for Gold members from Sept. 16 to Sept. 30. The game is available to download for free on both the Xbox One and Xbox 360. Tekken Tag Tournament is a spin-off from the highly acclaimed Tekken fighting game franchise. Tag Tournament is another fighting game in the franchise that focuses more on two-v-two matches rather than one-on-one. Tag Tournament also has a non-canonical story and has a roster of some of the most iconic characters in past games.
