Ahh, just like old times.

With this week’s 2.0 update, a change has been made to Xur in Destiny 2—his location will no longer be shown on the map, and it isn’t tied to the current week’s Flashpoint, either.

Just like in the old days of Destiny 1, players will have to hunt him down to figure out where he’s posted up for the weekend with his selection of Exotics. It’s a classic pastime.

Of course, this weekend Xur does not have any of the new Exotics that will be coming with Forsaken next week. But, the hunt is on again, and it feels good. Let’s find tentacle-face.

Where is Xur?

Xur is in the EDZ on Earth. He’s up on top of a cliff in the Winding Cove section of the map, right next to a massive crashed Fallen Skiff.

This week’s weapon is Prometheus Lens, an Exotic trace rifle. This weapon fires a Solar trace beam that generates a damaging heat field that grows while the weapon continues to fire. It costs 29 Legendary Shards.

For Hunters, Xur has Knucklehead Radar. This helmet provides radar while you’re aiming and enhances your radar resolution while crouched. The roll on this armor (new in Forsaken) is Bow Targeting, Hand Cannon Targeting, or Hands on, and Shotgun Reserves or Heavy Ammo Finder. It costs 23 Legendary Shards.

This week’s Warlock armor is Vesper of Radius, a chest piece. This armor makes your Rifts release an Arc shockwave when cast, and Rift energy recharge faster when you’re surrounded by enemies. The rolls are Unflinching Bow Aim, Unflinching Fusion Rifle Aim, or Unflinching Sniper Aim, and Scout Rifle Reserves or Special Ammo Finder. It’s on sale for 23 Legendary Shards.

Finally, Titans get Ashen Wake. These gauntlets will make your Fusion grenades explode on impact, while also granting increased throw speed. Direct hits with Fusion grenades will also recharge grenade energy. Its rolls are Fusion Rifle Loader, Hand Cannon Loader, or Impact Induction, and Shotgun Scavenger or Heavy Ammo Finder. They also cost 23 Legendary Shards.

Due to the way Exotics now have unique armor perks, Xur will always be worth checking out, especially when he shows up next week with the new hotness.
