The Last of Us Part II is receiving a day one patch that is set to introduce multiple modes throughout the Naughty Dog game.
The PS4 exclusive has already improved from previous builds based on preliminary analysis, but there’s still time for more updates.
According to reports from ResetEra, the update is adding a photo mode, which will be available as soon as players begin the next chapter in their adventure with Ellie and Joel.
Photo mode is a standard in single-player gaming, and with The Last of Us Remastered having already implemented it, users were expecting it to drop upon day one, which is precisely what is going to happen.
On top of that, the same update is introducing two more modes that Naughty Dog fans are used to see and use in their titles.
Concept Art Gallery will allow players to watch and appreciate the work of concept artists behind the scenes, setting the tone and direction of some of the most important cut-scene and locations in the title.
Model Viewer will finally grant they can see their beloved characters from different sections of the game, with different poses and outfits.
The Last of Us Part II update 1.01 patch notes
- New Features:
- Photo Mode
- Concept Art Gallery
- Model Viewer
- General bug fixes and improvements
- Additional accessibility options
The patch weighs in at around 4GB, so it should take that much before players can download it and add it on top of the core file size, which is instead already quite extended.
The Last of Us Part II is releasing on June 19.
