Rocksteady is reportedly working on a brand-new Batman game called “DC’s Arkham Universe.” Previous rumors hinted at the project revolving around the Justice League, but that’s apparently not the case.

Based on the information gathered on ResetEra, the game would be releasing on current-gen consoles and PC in Fall 2019, and would feature single-player, co-op and multiplayer in specific modes.

The characters would include Batman, Robin (Tim), Nightwing, Batgirl, Batwoman, Catwoman and Red Hood, and you’d be able to use them in free roaming by swapping between them at the Batcave hub. You’d also be able select missions and upgrade your equipment there, too.

Gotham would be the location of the game again, but would be quite bigger than the one we’ve seen in the previous Arkham titles—about 1.5x the size of Arkham Knight. It would be a living city with random crimes (car chases, bank robberies, etc.), with set time of day/weather (rain, overcast, snow).

The main villain would be the Court of Owls, with the story inspired by different DC storylines involving the Court, and new enemy types would include Talons and Pilots, with the latter hovering over the battlefield. Vehicles would make a comeback, with Batmobile redesigned for transport only and other characters with their cycles.

With X018 and The Game Awards 2018 coming in November and December, there’s still a chance for the title to be revealed this year, so stay tuned for more information about it.
