While it’s interesting to note that the title could be on its way earlier than anticipated, it’s clear that this kind of statement just before the E3 is rather bold, as we’ve never even been told about a possible launch window in the previous trailers.
On top of that, we have a statement that has been provided by Days Gone creative director John Garvin a few weeks ago. According to him, his game would be released before The Last of Us Part II, and yesterday we’ve learned it’s releasing on February 22, 2019.
So it’s quite a big clue about what’s happening to The Last of Us Part II, which is most probably releasing 2019, no matter what these retailers claim. We’ll learn more in the next few days when the PlayStation E3 2018 media briefing kicks off.
