Gears 5 is coming only in 2019 but this doesn’t mean that, after the E3 2018 debut, we can’t get more information from time to time in the wait for its official release.

Today, we are lucky enough to have been given a first look at a new character and the new weapon he carries with him. The information has been shared by the official Twitter account of the game.

Gears 5 To Feature New Character And New Lancer Variant

The new character is Fahz Chutani, a COG soldier who’s apparently going to assist us along the journey we’ll embark on in Gears 5. As you know, we’ll play as Kait Diaz, who had instead a supporting role in the previous iteration.

It’s interesting to note also that, as hinted at by the official Twitter account, Chutani is handling a new “variant” of the Lancer: although not giving away what it set to work like, the pic shows it is longer and slimmer in comparison with the original, so what could it be?

According to the news provided at the E3 2018, this is going to be the biggest game in the series, providing more open and diverse environments, and a skiff to travel across them.

Gears 5 is dropping in 2019 for Windows 10 and Xbox One. The development team is targeting 4K/60FPS for the Xbox One X version of Gears 5.
