Apparently, there’s a chance that the so-called Battlefield V game is a new iteration of the sub-franchise Bad Company. Battlefield: Bad Company 3 could be indeed revealed at EA Play 2018, as a reported leak seems to suggest.
The leak comes from a Twitter user called Abbas Alrubaie, who claims to be a developer at DICE, the studio which is reportedly working on the latest entry in the Electronic Arts-published first-person shooter series.
Alrubaie said in a tweet that “Battlefield 2018 (smiley face) is BC3 #Battlefield2018,” and someone on the ResetEra forums took a screenshot out of the statement, just in case.
Of course, we can’t confirm whether this man is someone really working at DICE nor on the upcoming new chapter in the DICE franchise. Anyway, there’s a hint at the fact this could true, as the official Battlefield Twitter account is following him.
Previous rumors hinted at the Battlefield V project to be set in the World War II, so – should this be confirmed – Bad Company 3 could have such setting and basically be a prequel to the previous two entry in the saga.
We’ll learn more at EA Play on June 9, where “the next Battlefield experience” is going to be revealed.
