Talking about his work on God of War, creative director Cory Barlog suggested that he has filled the game with a huge amount of content, an amount which won’t leave anyone unsatisfied or willing to do more after completing the adventure.

“I have always had this over-delivery complex,” Barlog told the US PlayStation Blog. “I keep obsessively adding things, making the game bigger and better, because I can’t leave anything on the table. I want to give the whole experience. You’ll pay $60? You’ll get everything I can possibly give.”

This feeds into two different aspects of the productions. First, the game won’t come with any season pass attached, which means that we won’t have any further DLC after the release of the main piece of content.

Second, the title itself will require 43+ hours, according to previous statements by Barlog, to complete the 100% out of it. It’s a huge amount of playtime if you consider the length of the previous iterations in the franchise.

Considering that it’s the second top PlayStation 4 title available according to Metacritic, only behind GTA V and with the same average score of The Last of Us Remastered, it looks like this approach was quite convincing to the press.

God of War is releasing on April 20 for PlayStation 4.
